Wait! That is not right. "Pause that...and reverse it." Time flies when you are having fun. Yes, yes. That is right. Well, it is really hard to believe that I have been on Staff here at PCC for ten years already!! January 6, 2013 marked the beginning of my tenth year at the Print Shop.
This past Thursday President and Mrs. Shoemaker hosted a dinner honoring staff and faculty celebrating 10, 30, and 40 years of ministry. The 10 year people were given a beautiful watch. The 30 year folk were given Waterford crystals. And the 40 year people were given a monetary gift. There were 30 of us celebrating our 10 year anniversaries.
Barbie and I had a great evening at the dinner. Our meal began with a traditional French onion soup. (Sorry, no pictures. I thought that it would be tacky to take pictures of the food at a formal function, but then a guy at our table took pictures of every course! But by that time if I did it, it would look as if I was just copying.) Followed by a salad course of some greens with a vinaigrette and stuffed tomato. Next up was the entree consisting of Filet Mignon, three jumbo shrimp and a twice baked potato. The meal was finished with an Italian panicotta and coffee.
The meal was followed by testimonies by representatives from each of the three honored groups. It was neat to hear stories of how The LORD has moved and worked throughout the years and brought all of us to this place of ministry. We are blessed and happy to be a part of the ministry here at Pensacola Christian and we look forward to what The LORD has in store for us down the road.
Here is a picture of my watch. We love you all.

Congratulations! ! Wow, 10 years! Snazzy watch, man ;-) great job & praise God for you & Barbie. Both of you are so diligent & hard working. Love you guys!
Charlie and the chocolate factory! Gene Wilder. At least I think so.
Thank you very much, Lika. Also, good job on the movie reference! Lobe you.
Praise the Lord for your faithfulness and diligence to your work.
Now you can do the work with your left hand! This way you'll get more excitement- because if you do it with your right hand it will be to mundane. Yes- you are that good!
Thanks for not being "wobbly" in your testimony and witness. Just got around to listening to Dr. Johnny Pope from the CD you sent us. Mom and I really enjoyed them.
Great job Son! Love Dad and Mom
Thank you, Mom and Dad. I am glad you enjoy the cds. Love you. Good "Princess Bride" reference, Inigo. ;)
