Audrey Time

So today I sat in a car seat for my car seat challenge,  and I aced it. Also, I had my MRI today and guess what: they told me I have a beautiful mind. On a final note: I get to go home tomorrow!!!! Thank you all so much for your prayers and love. Hope to see you all on SKYPE soon.

So today my doctors have increased my feedings to however much I want every three hours and I am scheduled to have an MRI later this afternoon. Alofa tele.

By request, here is for one night only: the Blues Brothers!!! Nah, just kidding. Here is Dianna!!!! Dianna was gracious enough to pause in her piano lesson for a photo. Also, some news on the Audrey front: she passed her hearing screen today! Yay!!!! She is doing so well. We are so happy. Audrey is sporting her first set of Minnie Ears. They were made by a lady at my work. So cute.

Praise the LORD!  Audrey's feeding tube came out today! Thank you all for your prayers for Wiggy. Tomorrow she gets a vaccine and then some tests in the next few days. A couple more steps closer to coming home. Love you all.

Just a quick update. Audrey tip the scales 1700 grams for a little gain (sorry, I did not do the math yet; check the comment section for the conversion). Unfortunately she did not go a full 48 hours on bottles alone; she had to have four meals via tube.  They will do every other one tonight, and try for a full 48 hours in a row tomorrow perhaps. Please pray that she can accomplish this task, as it will get her that much closer to coming home. Love you all. Good night.

I'm Coming Out, So You Better Get This Party Started

Audrey graduated from her isolette to a bassinet at 6 this evening.  When we arrived, we took her temperature to see that she was maintaining her own body temperature after being out of the incubator for two hours, and she had a temp reading of 98.1!! We are so thankful for all the progress the LORD has allowed her to make in such a short amount of time. Thank you for your prayers. Love you all.

I Tell You Something, Wiggy

So last night Audrey was in her isolette but with the portholes open and the air control off. She passed that test magnificently!  She maintained her own body temperature and ate six bottles in a row, without any problems. This afternoon Barbie may get to breast feed Audrey for one of her afternoon meals. So exciting!!!! She may be getting into a bassinet sooner than expected. Praise the LORD!  Your prayers are truly a blessing to our family. Thank you.

New News

When we arrived for our afternoon visit, the nurse informed us that the doctor's assessment of Audrey was outstanding! So much that Audrey is hereby ordered to eat all of her meals through a bottle. The LORD is truly good! Thank you all for your prayers and love for our little Wiggy.

Just Because Photos

Just wanted to share some pictures from this week. Jarod was just sitting in the computer chair thinking. So funny. And then here is Barbie and Audrey this morning. Barbie was able to give Audrey her bottle. Audrey ate 30ml in 8 minutes,  and she stayed awake the whole time. Praise the LORD!  Love you all.

Surety Update

Just checked on Wiggy. The doctor changed her schedule to a bottle every other feeding!!!! Yippee! The nurse (whom we will call Emily) said she did very well with the bottle Audrey had at 9 this morning.

Phantom of the NICU

She is so adorable. She weighed in at 3lbs 7oz this evening and ate from her first bottle (@ 31ml) . She progressing amazingly well. The nurse said that she will have two bottles a day (1 every 12 hour shift). Thanks again for all of your prayers and love for our little Wiggy. Love you all.

Breaking News

Audrey lost her umbilical cord today!!! So exciting. Tomorrow she will be 34 weeks old and they will begin considering when to start bottle feeding.  She also weighed in tonight at 3lbs 3.8oz (just up by a half ounce from yesterday, but every little bit helps). Thanks for all the prayers. Love you all.

Mama and Audrey

This update brought to you by Cutie Pie, Inc. Audrey was weighed and was found to be 3lbs and 2.8oz. Amazing!!! Her stunning growth has been scientifically linked to the ratio of sleeping and eating. Eating 8 times a day and sleeping 1,390 minutes every 24 hours.  Her feeding has been increased to 28ml from her initial amount of 8ml less than two weeks ago. Thank you for praying for our little Wiggy. Love you all.

A Day Out

Today we decided to journey out to Gulf Breeze to look around the Flea Market. Dianna, Barbie and Audrey got hair clips. Very cute. Here is a picture of Dianna and Jarod on one of the little toys at the market. The other picture is of what Jarod was doing when we arrived at the Flea Market.  Love you all.

Audrey Update

Well, last night I was able to hold Audrey for the first time - she is so tiny. I was very nervous, but she was very content to be with me. She is just so precious.  I also was able to change her diaper and wow was it dirty!  She now weighs 2lbs 14 oz and does not need her iv anymore. Praise the LORD! Love you all. More news later.

Evening Visit with Audrey

We had such an awesome visit with Audrey tonight. She was not doing anything spectacular but it was just good to be with her. Barbie was able to give her another bath and change her diaper. She did have to go back under the UV lights for a bit, but the nurse said that she probably would not relapse back into her jaundice state. She also regained her weight back to her birth weight. Now she just needs to continue to eat and grow to reach 5 pounds. Talk to you all later. Love you all.

Look Into My Eyes

We had such a great visit with Audrey tonight.  We had a surprise when we arrived: Audrey was wide awake! So beautiful!! Barbie was able to give her a bath.  Audrey had lost 3 lbs but has gained back 2lbs putting her weight at 2 lbs 12 oz.  The nurses also told us that she was doing such a good job eating that they were increasing her food intake to 14 ml every 3 hours. Thank you for your continued prayers and love.  Love you all.

Waffle House!!!!!

We took the older siblings out to a special breakfast at Waffle House.  We had a good time just being together.  It was very important to Barbie and I to have some special time with just the two of them, since we will be spending a lot of time at the hospital with Audrey.  It was fun....and yummy.

Audrey Day 4

Here is Audrey chilling in her incubator. She is no longer jaundiced and so does not need the UV lights anymore. Thank you for the prayers. Mom Bailey stayed with the children while we went to visit with Audrey. Thank you for all the prayers and love. She is sleeping like Jarod does. So cute! Love you all. Stay tuned for more Audrey sightings. Same bat time, same bat station. Ta-Ta. P.s. since she was wiggly jiggly while she was still in the womb I joked that I would call her "Wiggy". Maybe.
