This Week from the Soccer Pitch

Talofa lava! Welcome to this week's installment of "From the Pitch". Your one-stop site for all of your Tupua Fu'tbol news.  This week saw Audrey Summer and her Bluejaysplay put on a dazzling display of soccer prowess and skill, whilst running about the pitch seemingly confused and random, but doing so absolutely adorably!  It was a nippy 11 degrees Celsius out, but the temperature did not hinder the players from putting on a good show for the spectators.
We will now pause for a brief station identification and a word from our sponsor.
Hello. You are listening to KOHO Honolulu.  Here is our cutie spokesperson reminding you all to be safe and not to sneeze while you eat Saimin.  NOW, back to our show.
After exerting quite a bit of energy on the pitch,  it is important to replenish your body's nutrients.
A good source of nutrients is of course Cheetos.  It may not give you any eagle powers, but it will satisfy your hunger.
Next, we switch to our other division participating in today's matches.  It was a tough match. There were quite a few hand balls called as well as many a penalty kicks taken. Jarod James (a starting forward for the Panthers) played hard and did his best against all odds.  Dianna Noell, the starting sweeper for the Panthers was knocked down and shoved but she kept playing on...tough girl! (Her parents however were none to happy to see their girl being hoved about...her father pacing like a caged tortuga and her mother offering words of warning to the young man committing the penalties).
Well, that is all for this edition of "From the Pitch". We leave you with these candids of some fans cheering on their favorite fu'tballers.
As always, some fans are DEFINITELY cuter than others.
Love you all. Have a great week.

Grandma and Two Little Boys

While visiting with Grandma Bailey, we paused to take a picture of her and Cyrus and Gavin (Amanda's little boy).
They are so cute and happy in Grandma's lap.
Love you. Talk to you later.

More Pictures from Disney

While we were down in Orlando we had the chance to meet up a friend from Kinston. Mary Beth Barwick was down at Disney for the week with her family. She took these pictures of us and the kiddos. This first one is at the International Gateway at the back of EPCOT Center.
We got caught in the rain and everyone for the most part handled it quite well. We were waiting fot the mariachi band, but because of the rain, we were waiting in the wrong place.  I was not asking for much...maybe one mariachi player.
Here is Mary Beth with the Bigs on the bus ride back to our resort.
Cyrus taking a break for a happy picture with Mary Beth.
Love you all. Have a great week.

October Disney Trip

We had a wonderful trip to Disney World last weekend. We visited E.P.C.O.T. Center and Hollywood Studios (briefly) and the Magic Kingdom. It was a chance for us to meet up with Mary Beth Barwick (who is from Kinston) as well as, celebrate Audrey's birthday and take Cyrus to the parks for the first time.  Here is the family at the Magic Kingdom in front of Splash Mountain.
Here is Audrey Summer at lunch at Comubia Harbour House; this restaurant is one of our favorites in the Magic Kingdom. It has a nautical theme and an upstairs dining area that over looks the border between Fantasy Land and Frontier Land.
We took time to pause and take in some random sidewalk art.
