A Little About Cisco
Here is a picture of little Cisco relaxing in his kennel. We use the term "little" loosely. At sixteen weeks old, he tips the scales at 12 lbs eight oz (I do not have an "eight" button on our laptop keyboard). From tail to snout, he measures 24 inches long. The vet tells us that he is predominantly Golden Retriever with a little Beagle mixed in. Cisco is golden brown with a black strip on his tail. He has a white chest and floppy ears. They tell us that he probably will not get over 35 pounds. After his first vet's appointment, the nurse handed us a bag of dog food for "large breeds" ,and I said to Barbie, "Can we instead get the bag of food to keep him small?" He is a good little dog. We are enjoying having him around. Cisco likes to run, jump, and dig. Jarod loves to play and run alongside Cisco. Dianna is still skittish around Cisco; although, she is getting better. He is so much fun to have around. At his last appointment, the vet said that we needed to help Cisco socialize with more people than jsut the family, so he does not bite people out fear. There is a dog park in town, so I think we are taking Cisco to the park on Saturday. We love you all. Hope you enjoyed this little write up of our new family friend. Alofas to you all.

Aha! It is good to be first again. Hey Cisco - what's up? Remember how many dog's we used to have?? Oh boy! And how you always wanted to bring home all the strays on the road? Hmmm... Anyway, its always good to have a friend who doesn't talk or critizie(?)anything.
Love You all. Dad and Mom
Aw! Adorable! I miss having a good dog. Maybe someday....
love reading more about Cisco :)
Did you know that belly up position is a sign of submission, trust and respect? You're doing great, he obviously loves you all!
Thanks for the comments on Francisco..."France-e-e-sco, it is such a fun name to say." The children always ask if I had a dog growing up, and I would answer, "We did not have one...we had lots of dogs." :) You are right about the whole wanting to bring home every stray that I saw. In fact, my very first dog you let me have was a stray and such a treasure of a dog: Gold Medal. Cisco reminds me of Medal sometimes. He looks like him, but he is a lot smaller right now. Lika, I did just hear that from some dog owners at work who have taken their dogs to Obedience School. Love you all. I will try to get some pictures of the children and Cisco at the park this weekend and then post them. Love you all.
oh yeah....always lots of dogs! but Now we have only one and the neighbors' dogs come over to eat with him / or rather eat his food for him. Dad has to stand outside and wait for our dog to eat first before allowing the other dogs to eat. I do miss Auntie Jerry Ann's dog, Midnight; and of course, our dear Sniper....lots of memories. Glad that France-ee-ees-co "Cisco" is doing well ...after all, he's getting lots of love and attention! Good job! Love you! mom
I forgot about Midnight - what a dog! And good old Sniper!! I love you and miss you both. Talk to you later.
With a dog named "Cisco" there should be a mariachi player lurking somewhere...
Yes Midnight and Sniper kept the place free of pest and pestors.
Love you all. Dad
